HH South Africa

Our partnership with the Cape Film Commission continues to thrive with two more Movie Teams completed in June of this 2007. Five HH staffers and volunteers traveled to Cape Town South Africa and worked with two new groups of deserving kids from the townships and slums of the Western Cape to share the fun & empowerment of HH's own Movie Team program. Our new films were as thrilling and heartwarming as last years' three Movie Team South Africa projects.

While in Cape Town we began planning a summer Arts camp for children and teens livin with HIV/AIDS in the wine country region outside of Cape Town. We hope this will augment and expand our efforts in Africa and provide a chance for American artists in film, dance, music visual arts and photography to collaborate with South African colleagues while sharing their talents & creativity with local youth.
